Play. Learn. Inspire. Love music.

The home of community music in Cheshire and The Wirral

For over 20 years, we've been providing opportunities for musicians of all ages and abilities to play together and learn. From concert orchestra to big band, classical to pop, beginner to expert, there's something for everyone. With regular opportunities to perform in the community and beyond, our ensembles have gained an increasing reputation for making quality music, accessible to all.

For those inspired to start their musical journey, or those who wish to hone their skills, we offer the very best in tailored music tuition from dedicated and experienced teachers whose passion it is to nurture and develop the potential in every individual.

We love bringing musicians together, and pride ourselves on being able to offer opportunities for instrumentalists of all ages and abilities. Our inclusive approach bends the boundaries of traditional band and orchestral setup: who says you can't have five flutes in the wind section, and why not let the soprano sax play with the clarinets?!

Our aim is simple: to make great music with as many great people as possible.

You've decided it's time to start learning that instrument you've always wanted to play. Maybe it's been a while since you played - you're a little rusty and you want to get back to where you left off. Or perhaps you're really good already, but know there's always more to learn.

Whichever description fits you, you've come to the right place.

Start your learning journey with a visit to our Lessons page here.

Behind every great musician is someone who inspired them to become great. An enthusiastic teacher; an influential band leader; an impassioned conductor.

We're always looking for inspirational people to share their musical skills, knowledge and passion with others, with opportunities to train and work in the world of teaching, conducting and directing.

Visit our Teaching or Conducting & Directing pages to search our vacancies or find a training opportunity to suit your needs.

There's nothing better than sharing music with others, and now that COVID is behind us we're back to bringing you a full programme of musical events to attend as a player, performer or simply as an enthusiast.

Plan your musical diary with the choice of concerts from our many ensembles and supported institutions, Play Days with our community or training courses in the company of our experienced professionals.
