We're excited to bring you our first Play Day post-COVID - a chance for local musicians to meet, rehearse and perform some of the most recognisable short pieces in orchestral repertoire.

Rehearsals start at 12.30pm for players, and we will open our doors to an audience for a final performance in the evening.

Light refreshments will be provided throughout the afternoon, but players should make their own arrangements to eat in between the rehearsal and concert.

This programme of music is accessible to most instruments and is suitable for those players who are approximately Grade 5 standard or above, or have previous orchestral experience at that level.

Paper music will be provided on the day, but an electronic download will be made available upon registration for players to practise in advance.

Please also bring a music stand.

Approximate timings as follows:

12:15 Arrive, register and set up

12:30 Rehearse piece 1

13:40 Short break

13:50 Rehearse piece 2

15:00 Break for refreshments

15:30 Rehearse piece 3

16:40 Short break

16:50 Rehearse piece 4

18:00 End of rehearsals; time to eat and relax

19:00 Short concert; the venue will provide a bar for refreshments after the performance

Cost for the day: £10 payable upon registration

Under 18s welcome with parental consent; children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
