About the event

A sing-through of some of the hits of the 16th and 17th centuries, sacred and profane.

Singers of all abilities and all voice parts are invited to join Chester Music Society choir with Music Director Graham Jordan Ellis and accompanist Graham Eccles in a day of fun and musical frolics: from Renaissance to Reformation.

William Byrd : Lullaby, my sweet little baby 

Tomkins : When David heard that Absalom was slain 

Thomas Tomkins : Oh yes! 

Giles Farnaby : Sometimes she would 

John Dowland : Fine knacks for ladies 

Francis Pilkington : Amyntas with his Phyllis fair 

Ariano Banchieri : A Musical Concoction 

Josquin des Près : El Grillo
