Benedetti Foundation Adult String Player Day

A great opportunity for adult string players to enhance their skills during the summer workshop, presented by the foundation set up by none other than superstar Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti.

These in-person workshops will be led by Benedetti Foundation tutor, conductor and violinist Alex Laing. Participants will work on Britten’s Simple Symphony (mvt 1) and Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings (mvt 4. Larghetto). The workshops will focus on expression, sound production, freedom in playing, storytelling, understanding the context of the music and delving deep into specific technical challenges in upper and lower strings groups. Materials will be sent in advance to prepare for the workshops and the day will end with a play through altogether

Please note, these sessions are for Adult String Players aged 18+ only.
